Again – another snow and ice storm is forcing us to cancel all classes for Wednesday, February 20, 2019! We hope spring will soon be here!
The Ballet Guild organization mourns the passing of a long-time BGLV board member, friend, and supporter, John L. Cleveland, on Saturday, February 16, 2019. He made a difference in many lives through his service to the community and was greatly admired and loved by all who knew him.
There will be a viewing on Wednesday February 20, from 6PM-8PM and on Thursday February 21, from 10AM-11AM followed by the Funeral Service at 11AM in the John F. Herron Funeral Home 458 Center At Market Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will follow in Nisky Hill Cemetery in Bethlehem. Click here for more information.

Audition for “Coppelia” – BGLV/PYB 2019 spring ballet!
Students enrolled in the Ballet Guild’s Community Class Division who will be age 6 by May 31, 2019 are invited to audition for “Coppelia” on Saturday, February 23, 2019, from 1:00-2:30 pm at BGLV studios. For more information, download flyer below:
The Ballet Guild’s 50th Nutcracker production features new costumes and new backdrops, including this living room, complete with portraits of Alexi Ramov and Marjorie Berlin Fink painted on the wall – look closely! Magnificent artistry by Carl Sprague, concept by BGLV Artistic Director Karen Kroninger Knerr. This wonderful production is accompanied by a full orchestra, the Southside Sinfonietta, conducted by Eugene Albulescu, the BGLV Music Director. The new costumes by Kristin Dundon include a new “Mother Ginger” (photo below) as created by the wizards of Scaramouche, Mark & Bob. She spins and moves so effortlessly on stage!
We hope you have a chance to experience this most gorgeous creation of sight and sound – everyone who has worked on this production – dancers, guest dancers, artists, volunteers, staff, board members, directors, crew – have all given their time, talents, and their heartful souls to this marvelous 50th anniversary production of the Ballet Guild of the Lehigh Valley and its Pennsylvania Youth Ballet! Runner’s World — Half Marathon & Festival at Arts Quest
The City of Bethlehem will be host to this event during the weekend. Street closures may happen from time to time during the marathons, where two of them have part of their route running through various parts of Bethlehem.
