Three students recently participated in the prestigious dance scholarship competition – Youth America Grand Prix

Three BGLV/PYB students recently competed in the regional semi-finals of the Youth America Grand Prix, held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They are Natalie Hedrick, who placed in the top 24 – Senior Classical; Abigail Bleicher Healey, who placed in the top 12 – Junior Contemporary and in the top 24 – Junior Classical; and Olivia Lovell who danced in the Pre-Competitive level. The students also attended workshops and master classes with dance professionals. Each student spent many hours rehearsing in addition to attending 4 to 5 classes per week at the Ballet Guild studios.

Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) is a non-profit educational organization with a mission to support and develop world-class dancers ages 9 to 19 of all ethnic, economic, and geographic backgrounds by providing scholarship auditions and educational and performance opportunities. YAGP is a global network of dance, connecting students, teachers, schools, dancers, dance companies, and audiences worldwide.
