Nutcracker Auditions – Sunday, September 15, 2013!

Open to dancers from all areas and schools! Must be age 6 by December 9, 2013.  ALL minors (under age 18) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The auditions will be in the form of a ballet class.  Correct classical ballet attire and appearance (Females: hair in a bun-no bangs/Males: Hair neatly combed) is required.  See the 2013-2014 Student Handbook on our website for further information regarding correct ballet appearance and attire. Females on pointe should bring pointe shoes, but not put them on until required.

Mandatory Parent Meeting during each audition session.  Information about the production will be available, and there will be a question and answer period as well.

Audition Fee:  $20

ALL dancers must provide a snapshot-sized photo, full length, (not head shot), in first arabesque position.

Arrive at least 30 minutes before the audition time in order to complete the paperwork. 

AUDITIONS: Sunday, September 15, 2013

Ages 6-8, 12:30-1:30 pm

Ages 9-11, 1:30-2:45 pm

Ages 12 &  up, 3:00-4:30 pm

This year’s 45th Nutcracker production will feature a full orchestra – the South Side Sinfonietta – conducted by Eugene Albulescu, as well as a children’s choir.  All performances will take place at Baker Hall, Zoellner Arts Center, Lehigh University, 420 E. Packer Avenue, Bethlehem, PA 18015.

Performances for schools:  Wed. & Thurs., Dec. 11 & 12, 10 am; Fri., Dec. 13, 9:30 am & 12:00 pm

Performances for the public:  Sat., Dec. 14, 1 & 4 pm; Sun., Dec. 15, 2 pm
