The Ballet Guild’s sixth annual Marjorie Berlin Fink Merit Scholarship Auditions – named to honor the legacy of Miss Fink, the founder of the Ballet Guild in 1958 – will be held on Sunday, April 21 in the Ballet Guild studios.  This scholarship consists of one-half (1/2) of the total tuition due for the dancer to study dance in the Guild’s Pre-Professional Division, beginning with the Summer 2013 session and continuing throughout the school year of 2013-2014, ending in May 2014.

The auditions are open to dancers from all areas and schools and will be in the format of a full ballet class, taught by Angela Whitehill, distinguished teacher of dance and founding Artistic Director of Burklyn Ballet Theatre.  The age of the dancer on the day of the auditions will determine age group for which they shall audition.  Applicants should wear proper dance attire, and arrive with a parent or guardian at least 15 minutes before scheduled time to fill out the audition form.  Students on pointe should bring pointe shoes, but not put them on until instructed by teacher.  The audition fee is $20.00.

Audition times by age:

Ages 7-9, 12:30-1:45 pm

Ages 10-12, 1:45-3:00 pm

Ages 13 & up, 3:45-5:00 pm
